VBees minus GV (sorry, this pic covered my belly flab...)

It's late at night, and I am getting ready to go to sleep. It has been a busy couple of months. Coen started kindergarten and Mara is already four. Soon my "baby" will be two years old!!! I am 31 and soon to be unemployed. I haven't been without a job in over seven years. I know being a stay at home mom isn't a walk in the park, it is a full-time job with no overtime pay, but hopefully many benefits!! Today was a boring day at work, but hectic afterward. I got home just in time to stuff the kids in the car and haul them to soccer practice, and then left there to go to choir. Got home at 8:15 and since we didn't make dinner tonight, I ate some Spaghettios with meatballs. Yummy. I am very excited that I won't be working anymore because there are so many parts of my job that I can't stand, but I will miss all of the co-workers/friends I have known in the time I have been there. I know we can keep in touch, but we will never have that same one thing in common again. I will be an "outsider" and I hope that won't change anything. Of course, now that I am losing my income, I have found a ton of new things that I want to buy. :( I'd better become an expert at budgeting!!!

long time!

So much for blogging. Sheesh, I haven't written anything in months! Today was a long day. Got up, got the kids around, left the house and discovered that Annika had a huge bite on her ankle. Dropped off the big kids and then took Anni to see the doctor, through Granger road construction,, and then drove back to work. Doctor didn't do anything for the bite, said it should be fine with Benadryl. Worked til 7, and then got home in time to change clothes and drive to a cousin's house for the family get together. I didn't get to visit too much with anyone because I was trying to eat dinner and wrangle a tired baby, and then we had to leave early to take Anni to Medpoint to get her giant foot examined again. Drove through MORE Granger road construction and had to detour once for a giant tree limb (ahhhh these darn summer storms!) but after a half hour I got there only to learn they aren't in our insurance network so I had to pay everything out of pocket. GRRRR. Doctor barely looked at her foot before declaring she needed a shot & some sort of cream for whatever it was that bit her and then we had to wait twenty more minutes to make sure she wouldn't have a reaction to the shot. Finally got home at 11:30pm, day totally gone. Am so glad Marybeth has been cleaning our house all week because otherwise we'd be coming home to a huge mess!

home alone

Anni was definitely lonesome today when she got out of bed and discovered that it was just the two of us. She looked around her room, didn't find Mara, pointed to Coen's room, didn't find anyone there, pointed to the living room, didn't find anyone there, and then just sort of looked at me like "What the heck? Where is everyone????"

Coen says...

Hey, that's Mary, Jophus and baby Jesus. I don't know all the people in God's Bible, but I know Mary, Jophus and Jesus...I don't know who's on the other team.

I'm easy at playing guitar...see? And he proceeds to strum his air guitar "nernenernerner"

SOOO BORED!!!

Well, here I am with my cool new blog, and nothing to talk about! I could go on and on about the frustrations of the holidays, but why bother? So--here I sit at SMC, done with my homework, and waiting another hour for my next class to start. I went to the dentist today and got a filling. That was fun. Then I went shopping and checked out this brand new store called "Gordman." Funny, right? Well, it's basically a cheaper version of Kohl's so that was kind of interesting. The kids went to school today and I got to hear from Miss Vicky about how Coen broke his Happy Meal dragon because Parker was playing with it and rolled it through the sand and then it started making a funny noise and Coen threw it down, called it junk, then broke the tail off of it and wanted to throw it in the trash. She had never seen him act like that before. How funny, because we have seen that lots of times!! I don't know what Mara was going to be doing in class today, but she was telling me in the car this morning that maybe if she doesn't whine she will get some new Dora sandals. Wish me luck with that one!!

I feel so cool!

Well, my lunch break is almost over, so after going through the excitement of starting my blog, I can't even start to say anything!!!
